South Carolina (Will's Weather) - A stationary front draped across the Southeast will bring widespread rainfall over the next three days. Periods of moderate to heavy rain, along with embedded thunderstorms, are likely through Tuesday.
Along with steady rain, localized flooding could become a concern, especially in low-lying areas, poor drainage spots, and near rivers, creeks and streams.

Widespread on and off rain is expected for Mother's Day. If you have any plans, it's a good idea to keep them indoors.

Much of the same for Monday, but Monday's rain potential is looking more impressive. Widespread heavy downpours, with a few embedded thunderstorms are likely.

Tuesday, our low pressure system gain some momentum, which will push another round of moisture into the area as it pulls off to the north.

As the stationary boundary finally works out of the area late Tuesday, we’ll return to our more typical pattern of scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
By the time this system moves out, we’re expecting a substantial amount of rainfall across the region. Some model guidance suggests totals could reach as high as 4 to 6 inches. While that’s certainly possible, such high amounts will likely be isolated—mainly in areas where heavier bands of rain linger for extended periods.
My official rainfall forecast expects 2 to 3 inches across the Upstate, with slightly higher amounts of 3 to 4 inches likely in the Midlands, Pee Dee, and Lowcountry.
