The next three days will bring widespread rain along with a few embedded thunderstorms. If you have any outdoor plans for Mother's Day or early next week, it’s best to move them indoors to avoid the wet and potentially stormy conditions.
The system responsible for the rain will gradually move out late Tuesday. After that, we'll settle back into a more typical early-summer pattern, with scattered afternoon showers and storms. Temperatures will also begin to climb, reaching into the upper 80s and low 90s by mid to late week.

Will Rowe
Forecaster
Will Rowe is a junior at Mississippi State University majoring in Operational Meteorology and a junior at the University of South Carolina majoring in Geographic Information Systems. He is expected to graduate from both institutions by or before May 2026.
Will’s passion for weather began at the age of 3. He began forecasting at the age of 14, when he shadowed the National Weather Service for a day in 2019. A forecaster there introduced him to the basics of weather forecasting, where he created a Facebook page and started posting forecasts for his local area. Two years later, his enthusiasm earned him an on-air interview at WIS-TV in Columbia, SC. It was during this experience that Will first considered a career in broadcast meteorology.
After his on-air interview, Will took it upon himself to set up his own in-home weather studio in May 2022, where he has been forecasting weather for South Carolina ever since. Over time, he made several connections with broadcast meteorologists across the east coast who have mentored him and helped him get to where he is today.
